OP Y.

THE HONGKONG GENERAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
Chartered Bank Building,
Queen's Road Centrai,
Hongkong,
7th August, 1920.
Sir,
This Chamber desires to bring to your notice the continued irregular arrival of mails from England which is proving a most serious handicap to the trade of the Port, and to ask the assistance of the Government in remedying this by again making telegraphic representations to His Majesty's Government upon the subject.
Further it hopes that the Government will make the strongest possible protest against the withdrawal of the mile from the fastest boats that cross the Pacific (the Canadian Pacific Ocean Services Ltd.).
I have, &c., (Sd.) P. H. Holyoak,
Chairman.
Hon. A. G. M. Fietcher, 0.B.E.,
Colonial Secretary,
Hongkong.
